Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Black (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD

New Price: £57.95

Review for Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Black (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD:
Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Black
I was looking for a low cost camera with good quality pictures which was very easy to use. This camera is an excellent choice! Great value, idiot proof to use and looks fab. All the buttons you need to use for simple picture taking are all clearly labelled on the back, and the menu has an info button which explains everything in the menu options so editing pictures on the camera and changing camera settings couldnt be simpler! the camera is small and light, and i got mines in black; it looks very impressive. The internal memory takes just over 10 photos so definately invest in a memory card to make it worth while.

Kodak Easyshare M753 Slim Digital Camera (7.1MP, 3x Optical zoom)

New Price: £79.95

Review for Kodak Easyshare M753 Slim Digital Camera (7.1MP, 3x Optical zoom):
For the price it's excellent
If you want a slim pocket sized camera on a budget this delivers. Plenty of settings and preset modes for different situations.Takes good pictures in low light without a flash, at the expense of a little grain though. It has an anti-shake system that seems very good. You can set the ISO manually if you want, which goes quite high. Easy quick and simple to operate. I bought a 2GB SD card that can store almost 2000 pictures at 7MP resolution or 45 minutes of video. Very lightweight and stylish looking camera. As a camera for holidays, partys or family events it's perfect.

Kodak Easyshare C763 (Silver)

New Price: £76.98

Review for Kodak Easyshare C763 (Silver):
Good for some photos
My last camera, the C643, was dropped in the sea, so my Dad purchased me this one as a replacement. To be honest, I prefer the old one!
Although this one is a higher MP camera, to be honest, the quality isn't great, and the majority of the photos come out wobbly. Fair enough it does have a wobbly setting, but there's so many different settings, it makes it difficult to set it to the right one every time, and if you want to get a snap quickly, forget about it. It also doesn't feel study in my hands, like the last one did.
I'd only recommend this to people who take a lot of photos outdoors. Indoors, its a waste of money. Outside the photos are good quality.

Great camera briliant for the price, small, light, looks good, brilliant pics, great settings, i could go on all day.

Kodak - EasyShare M753 Black

New Price: £74.95

Review for Kodak - EasyShare M753 Black:
disapointing
I had this camera from new to go on holiday with. All the transfers on the back rubbed off and a lot of the pictures looked ok on the back screen but were blurred when we took them off the memory. Dials didn't help much. And with a time delay, something that most cameras have sorted now the whole thing was rather rubbish. Took it back!!!

Kodak EasyShare C310 [4.0MP, 5 x continuous digital zoom]

Used Price: £35.50

Review for Kodak EasyShare C310 [4.0MP, 5 x continuous digital zoom]:
My first real digital camera...
... and it messes up in a few days. The light blinks red a bit, then turns off completely. To really rub in the salt the detail really isn't that great , there's no optical zoom, and there's even, to my astonishment, no SOUND while recording video, making the video option utterly pointless. Very disappointing. Had this been working it would have gotten three stars, it only receives two because it can take photos like it says, just not well.

Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Silver (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD

New Price: £70.99

Review for Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Silver (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD:
Easyshare software
I haven`t got this model but have a CX6200 2.1 MP which I bought for £80 around 4 years ago and is well made.

I have been looking at this model with a view to upgrade to one with optical zoom

If this new model takes as good a picture as the CX6200 you will not be dissapointed, they look better than the ones taken with my Canon 35mm film camera.

The Easyshare software is simple to use and load onto a p.c and this p.c is only a few months old.

I did have issues with other software using VISTA so I went back to XP and now have no problems with any software.

The Easyshare software can also be downloaded from the kodak website if you prefer not to use the installation c.d [I have used both]
The easyshare software allows you to edit your photo`s [crop, ect],print in many sizes, burn to c.d or email, also has various named albums to store your photo`s in, also fine for scanned photo`s
I also have an original Kodak Instamatic 155x from 1971 which still works fine after all these years, which I guess goes to show Kodak make good cameras

Kodak Easyshare Z885 Digital Camera (8MP, 5x Optical Zoom)

New Price: £99.95

Review for Kodak Easyshare Z885 Digital Camera (8MP, 5x Optical Zoom):
You Get What You Pay
My sister recently bought this model and was not impress by it at all. Firstly, the camera kept switching itself off, even though the battery was new (it was supplied with the pack). Secondly, whilst exploring the various features of this camera, it started to heat up, so much so, that she found it uncomfortable to handle. It may be a faulty one, but she is not waiting to find out. She will be returning this camera and is looking for another brand.

Kodak EasyShare C875 Digital Camera - Silver (8MP, 5x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD

Used Price: £90.99
New Price: £89.99

Review for Kodak EasyShare C875 Digital Camera - Silver (8MP, 5x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD:
Ignore the reviewer who says not to use at important events like weddings
First of all, if a reviewer tells you not to use a compact camera at an important event like weddings - they're teaching their grandmother to suck eggs. No one in their right mind would use ANY compact camera to capture important events like that. You hire a professional photographer who's going to use over £5000 worth of kit to do it.

Okay, onto the Kodak C875. It's a lovely little beast. It has full manual controls, i.e. ISO, shutter speed, aperture, WB, +/-EV, metering mode, and a useable panoramic mode. It even has a 3:2 aspect ratio so you can print to 6x4's without cropping.

The colours are typical Kodak, if that's to your taste. The camera even has a special function that brings out the brightness and colours in images already shot.

The camera feels responsive, although autofocus can hunt a bit in the dark. The flash is underpowered, but it's perfectly suited for fill flash outdoors to remove harsh shadows. If you want good performance indoors with flash, you'll really need an SLR for that [and we're talking of spending 4-5 times as much for the kit].

Ultimately, if you just want a knockabout camera that has more than enough manual control - this could well be the camera for you. If instead you want perfectly sharp images with superb tonal range and colours, there's always the £3,000 Nikon D3...

Kodak V610 Dual Lens Digital Camera - Black (6.0MP). The World's Smallest 10x Optical Zoom Digital Camera

New Price: £214.99

Review for Kodak V610 Dual Lens Digital Camera - Black (6.0MP). The World's Smallest 10x Optical Zoom Digital Camera:
i also think v610 is extremely disappointing
I agree that the camera only takes very grainy pictures unless it is extremely bright (as the other reviewer says). Even on the higher exposure 'indoor' settings, quality doesn't improve.

My particular camera has had all sorts of problems for no reason I can see. I'd understand if it malfunctioned as a result of rough treatment or exposure to liquid etc, but I honestly do not know why I've had these problems, it just seems fragile.

It turns on and then off again, and the lens cover does not retract and close, and then didn't turn on at all, which means that I have had to send it back to kodak once already, only to find that after working for a few hours, all the same problems recurred. When I tried to use the USB cable to download to my computer, the camera was not recognised (easy-share software of no use for that problem).

The on-line help treats everyone like they can barely find the on button, (ie. only covers very basic problems), and the diagnosis it offers is that I may have a"power problem", which I already knew.

I appreciate that my experience may just be my bad luck, but I would not say that this is reliable and well-made overall. The picture quality in average (not particularly low) light alone justifies complaints.

I gave it one star because it has a good zoom and the potential to actually be a decent little video clip camera with the 2GB memory card I bought to go with it. But when I think about it, I only resorted to short clips because the picture quality was so bad anyway.

My future contact with Kodak will be a real test to see whether the company really means what it says about customer service. I will have to send it back again (another 3 months of waiting) and ask for a complete refund or replacement. Without wishing to seem vexatious, I also dislike the fact that the support phone line insist that you call an 0870 number (from which kodak makes money) and then keep you on hold, but that's standard for a lot of companies these days, but also a sign of how serious it is about support.

If there is anyone else who has had experiences, then do please be a good consumer and write reviews. It is always good to know that you are not alone, or see lots of happy people out there which gives you a sense of whether this really is extremely bad luck or a common complaint.

Anyway, despite it being very small and sleek on the outside, in retrospect I would not be seduced and go for a different camera. We've had a clunky little fuji that has been really great for 4 years, so this kodak 'upgrade' for the £250 or so I paid for it at the time was a huge disappointment.

Kodak, P850 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x optical]

New Price: £99.95

Review for Kodak, P850 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x optical]:
Kodak P 850
I purchased this camera for my wife. It is very good, but does the extra length of zoom and additional features warrant the extra cost over the Kodak Z740. As a family which owns both, I feel that the smaller size, lower weight and slightly smaller size of the Z740 will satisfy the"snapper", but not the more experienced and demanding photographer.

Obvious plusses for the P850 are the additonal features, great viewfinder (so much better than the Z740), larger screen and the huge zoom. I have not missed the advantage of the image stabilisation, which will be of obvious value to low light/ high zoom occasions, but the times when this is needed for the average photographer will be limited.

Disappointed with P850? Not at all. This is a really good camera, offers a lot for the money and we are not disappointed to own it. Would I buy another? Most definitely but probably to compliment our Z740, rather than replace it. Why not a 5 stars rating? Simple really, 5 stars should be for a product which is outstanding in most areas; this product is, but the use of a Kodak only proprietary battery only has to result in demoting this to very good.

Purchase this camera by all means. You will not be disappointed, but if you want a camera which offers less, is almost as good, but does not have all of the features, consider the Z740 too.

Kodak z712 IS
It arrived in time for my holiday. It was very easy to start snapping photos in 10 minutes. I really like the lens quality and the zoom capability. Watch out when you get into the digital zoom as you will need a tripod or a steady car. I learned almost all of the more advanced features by reading the PDF file online at Kodak's web site. Very easy to use, great pictures, what more do you want? Image stabilzation? It has that as well. Great non=professional camera. If you need more then spend aa ton more but this little gem has what I need for everyday use and if it gets swipped I'm not out that ton of money.

Kodak EasyShare Z612 [6 MP, 12x Optical Zoom]

Used Price: £138.99
New Price: £169.99

Review for Kodak EasyShare Z612 [6 MP, 12x Optical Zoom]:
Kodak EasyShare Z612 Review
Very disappointing overall. Pictures taken inside using built in flash are grainy with a yellow tint. The video facility is very poor often failing because the camera can't write to the SD card quick enough.
I have a Kodak Z700 digital camera which I am delighted with (but it only has a 5 x zoom lens), hence my decision to upgrade to its big brother.
Because the Z612 is so poor, I've carried on using my Z700. Its picture and video quality (using identical SD cards) is much better. NOTE - video footage can't be played in TV DVD players though!!
RE batteries, suggest you get rechargeable CRV3 Li-Ion batteries which are less than £20 incl charger and last for ages on a single charge.

Review for Kodak V803 Digital Camera - Black (8.0MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.5" LCD:
Kodak V803 Review
Very impressed with this camera, have been using it at work mainly. Easy to use and on the whole good functionality. Close up use in macro mode is reasonable and image lighting is useful when used in awkward places and in dark (lets you know where you're pointing the camera). Was that impressed brought one for myself to use, very good price as these were recently going for about £250 in Argos. Very nice in black. Recommend 2GB Transcend SD Memory card, this will give you plenty of room for photo's and video. One touch photo transfer software is also good.

Kodak Z710 High Zoom Digital Camera (7.1MP, 10x optical zoom) 2" indoor/outdoor LCD, 32MB internal memory

New Price: £112.95

Review for Kodak Z710 High Zoom Digital Camera (7.1MP, 10x optical zoom) 2" indoor/outdoor LCD, 32MB internal memory:
Appalling
Now I dont know lots about cameras, but I take a lot of photos and I bought this bundled with a dock printer and I have to say I just took it back. Yes it takes good photos, the zoom range is good etc. But it all pales to one whopping oversight. The flash.
Its just too damn bright, only in bright outdoor conditions can ths camera take good photos, because when its dark, the flash fills everything with the kind of whight light that completely neutralises tone. Say you like the lighting effects in your living room one afternoon and want to capture that atmosphere. Sorry, you cant, the flash removes all other lighting and makes everything ugly, really. And you can forget about portraiture, faces just become completely white, hair looks strangely dirty, and the only real colour you get is the eyes, and that just looks wierd.
Not only that, there are tons of other design flaws with this thing. The size of the flashbulb and its placement on the camera means the optical viewfinder no longer shows you what is actualy there through a lens. Instead, because the pop-up/down flash is in the way, all you get is a tiny version of the big LCD, which is utterly pontless. And the supplied lens cap is useless unless you have a form-fitting case to carry it around it, because it falls off with the slightest knock. Meaning if you put it in a handbag or rucksack it is likely to do so and expose the lens to possible damage that is very expensive to repair.
All in all a terribly designed camera, the technology is good, and it works, but the flaw, as always, is human. The design problems hampering this thing make it impossible to use in even the best conditions. If you are looking for a camera for constant snapping or just casual use, look elsewhere. You'll only find frustration here.

Loved it - now hate it
Like another customer I also recieved the 'Lens Error 14' message (whilst on holiday, so no pics for me!) The Lens just jammed half way so it wouldn't turn on at all. wish I'd spotted their review before I bought it. Kodak EasyShare C433 Digital Camera ( 4MP, 3 x Optical Zoom )

New Price: £55.00

Review for Kodak EasyShare C433 Digital Camera ( 4MP, 3 x Optical Zoom ):
Flippin' Brilliant!!!!
This is the best digital I've ever had or even seen! It's got settings for all sorts (bright beach scenes, bright snow scenes, fireworks), the zooms good, the pics are easy to download, you can take videos with sound, and its just the right size to fit in your pocket too.
The only two downsides (and these are pretty insignifigant, but I think I should include them) when you play back the videos on the camera there is no sound, and it doesn't come with a case. But you don't really need to listen to the videos right there and then and I easily found a case the right size for it.
Either way, it has joined my wallet, my iPod, my penknife and my mobile, in the things I have with me at all times.
I would recommend this to anyone!
