Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Silver (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD

New Price: £69.99

Review for Kodak Easyshare C613 Digital Camera - Silver (6.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.4" LCD:
LOOKS LIKE IT CAME OUT OF A CRACKER - AND BEHAVES LIKE IT TOO
I bought this camera this week and I am sorely disappointed with it. Having previously owned Pentax and Panasonic digital cameras which I paid around £80 for, I was gutted when this one arrived. It has a cheap, tacky look to it. I took some pictures outside with it and was not impressed with the quality. Then I tried to take some pictures inside, and guess what??! The flash doesn't work, no matter what setting it is on. Needless to say, the camera is now winging its way back to Amazon and I have demanded a refund. My advice is steer clear, for an extra 20 or 30 quid you can buy a really decent camera, and this one is anything but.

Review for Kodak EasyShare C360 [5MP, 3 x Optical Zoom]:
Excellent value and easy to use
We purchased this camera in April 06 and have used it for our estate agent business. The quality of the photos are superb and as we were upgrading our digital camera wanted something easy to use. This is so easy and straight forward. Great for beginners and also great value for money.
You will not be disappointed if you buy one.

Kodak, P850 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x optical]

New Price: £149.99

Review for Kodak, P850 Digital Camera [5MP, 12x optical]:
Great 'out-of-the-box' camera
Just bought the P850 earlier this week and already I'm enjoying its many fine features, particularly its 12X optical zoom. I did a lot of research on sub-£250 cameras and this one rated highly. I also spoke to a professional photographer who gave his Fuji FinePix7000 to his son in exchange for this one and hasn't regretted it. The camera is easy to come to terms with right out-of-the-box and you'll be taking great photos right off the bat. Of course, you'll want to buy a 512MB SD memory card (you'll get about 260 pics on that) or a 1GB card. So far, the camera works beautifully and I'm very pleased with my purchase and with Amazon which not only offered the lowest price but got it to me within 48 hrs by Special Delivery as promised. Thanks Amazon and Kodak.

Kodak Z700 Digital Camera [4MP, 5 x Optical Zoom]

Used Price: £35.00
New Price: £77.99

Review for Kodak Z700 Digital Camera [4MP, 5 x Optical Zoom]:
amazing
I've just got this camera for my 21st birthday. It is my first 'proper' digital camera - and I love it! I was a little worried when the batteries supplied with the camera ran out after taking a around 20 pictures, but I got myself a set of 4 rechargeable Ni-MH 2100mAh batteries that charge it about 1 hr, and they last for a lot longer. I love the detail possible with this camera, and I have been using the 'close up' setting a lot. The camera itself is very compact, and fairly small considering what it is capable of.

Kodak EasyShare C330 Digital Camera [4MP, 3 x Optical Zoom]

Used Price: £65.00

Review for Kodak EasyShare C330 Digital Camera [4MP, 3 x Optical Zoom]:
My first digital camera
If you do not know your ISO from your DIN ( like me ) then this is an excellent choice of camera. It fits neatly in the pocket & its rechargeable batteries provide at least two weeks of regular use. The video function is easy to use. I was soon posting videos on a well known hosting site & had some pictures printed in the local press. The SD memory cards are"cheap as chips".
There is a suite of Kodak software provided but i have not had to use any of it. I use a Belkin card reader which is a doddle.
I was convinced that digital photography would be a really nerdy complicated business but it is in fact very accessible, straightforward & inexpensive

Review for Kodak Easyshare Z712 Digital Camera - (7.1MP, 12x Optical zoom, Opitical IS):
Overall a good camera, missing some features
This camera is very good value for money in terms of the quality of images, excellent colour, and the quality optics that provide the 12x optical zoom (no doubt the most expensive part on the camera). I've got through trying out a number of cameras, and this is the one that seems to balance picture quality with reliability (so far) and price. The one thing that I am most disappointed with, is the lack of movie features. For instance the cheaper Samsung S630 provides a far better range of control parameters, such as 15 or 30 fps frame rate, instead here its a fixed 30fps. If you're using it as a camcorder, in slow moving scenes, you do not need a high frame rate, so you could use half the memory. Another annoying thing is the movie file format - quicktime mov. If only it could have been output as avi (in mpeg4), using something like the divX or xvid codec, as most budget movie editing software support .avi but not .mov files. I had to get mov to avi converter software to use it with my preferred editing software. That said, at least the overall movie quality is still excellent - my intention was to have a digital camera and camcorder in-one, and despite these annoying things, it this is still more than sufficient for that dual role. Another annoyance is the lack of bundled bits like a power supply (which I mistakenly thought would be included), and for which they charge a ridiculous amount on the kodak site. All it is 3 V, 2.5 A, which you can get elsewhere much cheaper, and some cheap cameras even include power supplies in the package. Well worth having one if you're indoors, as it gets through batteries (even if you have rechargeable, its inconvenient). Last gripe, suprising for a mid-budget camera, the lens cap falls off the lens too easily!

Like the Z612, one nice thing is that you can zoom whilst taking movies (the only other camera I've tried that allows this is the Samsung S630). Some reviews on other sites talk about the camera mic picking up the sound of the lens motor, this is true, but in most situations, if there is sufficient noise (e.g. somebody speaking near-by), you wouldn't hear it. Plus in some situations, e.g. if you were using this to record a mate's band at a gig, you'd use something like a separate minidisc recorder and dual (stereo) mics for better quality sound.

Kodak C663 Digital Camera [6mp, 3x optical zoom]

Used Price: £105.99
New Price: £213.98

Review for Kodak C663 Digital Camera [6mp, 3x optical zoom]:
Pictures good, movie problematic
Pros :
- This camera takes great pictures
- Simple to operate
- Battery life is very good

Cons :
- Movie mode is problematic to say the least. Movie is recorded OK on the camera, when you transfer it (in quicktime format) you have no end of problems as this camera does not conform completly to the quicktime standard. The upshot the movie freezes and stops and loses sync.

Kodak P880 Digital Camera [8MP, 5x optical]

Used Price: £175.00
New Price: £228.92

Review for Kodak P880 Digital Camera [8MP, 5x optical]:
Grey Camera
I set up the camera in accordance with the manual and proceeded to take some photographs using the auto setting and many other settings including manual

I was not happy at all with the results that appears to be a fault within the camera

The photos were taken during a very hot sunny and bright day but the pictures were showing dull and very contrasty and looks like a grey dull film over the picture you can see

I removed the memory card and printed direct from my photo printer from the card to photo media and they look like it was a dull and dreary day I took 4 different pictures all with different settings and exposures using my tripod with no difference at all which isn't right

I took some pictures with my existing camera a 5 mega pixel and printed in the same manor and they resulted in clear colourful pictures

So beware and i have returned camera back for refund as faulty

Kodak EASYSHARE CX7300 - Digital camera - 3.2 Mpix - supported memory: MMC, SD

Used Price: £44.99
New Price: £73.99

Review for Kodak EASYSHARE CX7300 - Digital camera - 3.2 Mpix - supported memory: MMC, SD:
Good Second camera
Bought for my wife and as second camera on assignment. There are two problems so far.
1. The flash is not bright enough for pictures taken at full times 3 zoom so you can end up with very dark faces etc
2. If working against a medium dark subject but with something fairly bright nearbye the auto aperture system takes too much notice of the bright out of focus item. Worse the flash is not strong enough to fill in properly.
Pity really as otherwise it is a super point and shoot device and almost wife proof !
